Nationally recognized planners to discuss World Class solutions at the POWER OF TEN Summit in Nashville August 23

Internationally known planner and NYC Parks Commissioner Mitch Silver and Joe Szabo, Executive Director of Chicagos Metropolitan Agency for Planning (CMAP) will be keynote speakers at the Cumberland Region Tomorrow’s ninth annual POWER OF TEN Regional Summit. Titled “Sustaining the Boom: Becoming a World Class Region” and presented by the Nashville International Airport and Pinnacle Financial Partners, the event convenes hundreds of Middle Tennessee planners, community leaders and elected officials to discuss world class solutions to regional issues and opportunities. “We’ve tapped the very top thought leaders in Chicago and New York to bring big league ideas and innovation to our region this year,” said Carol Hudler, Cumberland Region Tomorrow’s CEO. “Szabo and Silver are considered to be among the most visionary thinkers in the country on topics such as inclusive economic equity, new development trends, affordability, open space and parks, as well as the critical topic of transportation strategies that tie it all together.” Area leaders will share their progress and plans to make the region more livable and sustainable as Middle Tennessee continues to have unprecedented population growth.   The event will be held at the Music City Convention Center in Nashville, Wednesday, August 23, from 9 am to 3 pmTickets can be purchased and more information about the summit is available at: 10power.org
