Cumberland Region Tomorrow works to successfully advance Regionalism at our annual POWER OF TEN Regional Summits and targeted Regional Communications efforts under the POWER OF TEN brand. Through education, communication, and application of best practices, we work to create integrated strategies that address our Top Regional Issues and Opportunities:

Cumberland Region Tomorrow supports collaborative actions that Relate To, Interact With and Effect positive movement toward our region’s shared goals and mutual benefits.
At our 2010 Regional Summit, over 450 regional and state leaders gathered to focus on our key regional topics of Transportation/Transit, Open Space Conservation, Infrastructure and Economic Competitiveness. We provided the regional forum for the public unveiling of the Nashville MPO 2035 Regional Transportation Plan and began the public input period for this important regional planning effort. We also heard from TECD Commissioner Matt Kisber, Nashville Mayor Karl Dean, TDOT Commissioner Gerald Nicely, Middle Tennessee Mayors Caucus, Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee, Land Trust for Tennessee, and national Sustainable Communities Partnership leaders. At our 2009 Regional Summit, over 400 regional and state leaders gathered to set our attention toward our Six Regional Issues and Opportunities and the region’s perceptions for needed Regional Collaboration. We learned of successful region’s work toward our key issue of Transportation/Transit and saw the call for creation of the Middle Tennessee Mayors Caucus and the Transit Alliance of Middle Tennessee.
