Quality Growth Toolbox Pilot Project

The Quality Growth Toolbox pilot project has significantly advanced the region on the key regional issue of Land Use/Quality Growth and Sustainable Development identified at the 2009 Convening the Region Summit.  This work will create an improved local planning platform that can be more easily updated to support future regional transit and Transit Oriented Development (TOD) recommendations coming from the Nashville Area MPO's 2035 Regional Transportation Plan in 2010. 

This pilot project has also created an acceptance at the local level throughout the region on the importance of comprehensive planning, community design and land use/transportation integration by engaging nearly a thousand regional citizens and hundreds of design and planning professionals who will implement the pilot project activities around each Toolbox Principle and Chapter Topic that will support the implementation of Quality Growth in our region.
